About Us

Healthy Him is an umbrella that covers the youth programs of APLA Health in Los Angeles, CA. Understanding that young men of color (especially those who have been marginalized) need guidance in more areas than just sexual health, we created a holistic approach consisting of groups and workshops focusing on mental, spiritual and physical well-being. As a result, participants are equipped with knowledge that strengthens their decision-making skills and betters their overall lives. Our motto “It’s a Lifestyle” enforces the idea that Healthy Him is about permanent change and not temporary fixes. Healthy Him is funded by grants received from:
CDC – Centers for Disease Control
SAMHSA – Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
City of Los Angeles AIDS Coordinators Office
We welcome you to join the movement.
